Artist Biography
Osvaldo Gonzalez is a self-taught Digital Artist, born in Argentina. He discovery his passion to visual arts and illustration when was 17 years old. He worked for "Accion Regional" the newspaper from Las Flores, your local hometown. At the end of the decade of the 80s, he moved to Buenos Aires he turned to digital, and worked as a graphic designer in an editorial house .
At the end of 90s, he was a freelance designer and illustrator in several projects for the music industry and companies like MCA, Nems enterprises, Roadrunner, Triton, BMG, Poligram, Mastertrax, Universal and Tocka Discos. Actually he lives in Miami, USA with his wife Mariana, and his green iguana Morticia.
His art has a knack for creating dark mysterious stories. His use of layering to create depth, tonal qualities, and aged effects are decisive and work together to produce otherworldly narrative moments with a delicate and detailed sense of atmosphere and transparency.2003 Selected artist for “Expose1” and 1 st place in “Digitized 03”
2004 Selected artist for “IDAA awards”, 1 st place in “Digitally 2004”, 2 nd place “Strathmore Digital Awards”, 2 nd place “LACDA Digital 04”, Honorable Mention “2004 Photoworkshop Digital Imaging Awards”.His art was exposed in Argentina, USA, Australia and Tasmania.
