Artist Biography
My name is Radek Rzepoluch, of Poland. (Also known as Aazrane the elf, but it's much more difficult that it seems.) In a way, born on 1974. Since that, there happened nothing interesting in my life. The playschool, the elementary, the college and things... just not worth any attention. And the most boring thing of all was, just after I had quit my education because of razor cuts on my face, that some shrink gave me schizophrenic papers... but that's not an issue to be discussed in this place, you know.
There, I have whatsoever no profit of the disease, except that I get a $ 100 pension monthly which is as much as to keep me alive, and I try to do something of the arts: so I do computer graphics, as you probably have deduced by now, also I do sculpture, I do music, I do poetry, I do prose, and I call it all philosophy. Why? Because schizophrenia is that kind of disease that doesn't just start in one's childhood, and not even when one is born, but it dates back to the beginning of the Universe - according to my private theory. Statement
So I have been asked to put an artist statement here. Therefore in the first place, let's ask - what's an artists statement? As it seems, it's something that an artist states... In such case, it requires an artist, doesn't it? Hence, there it should be that I am an artist. What gives me the right to call myself so? For long time, I have been thinking: what is good art? And what I got of the time, and indeed it's talking about years, was the answer: it's art that is good.
Well, I realize it's not the best answer but as much I can make of it. So, what makes art good? Despite of what it seems, it must look at least a bit cool, it must make one think at least a bit. Since, it requires just as much from the artist that he devotes all his life to it. You know, I realize there may be artists-businessmen, artists-lawyers, artists-doctors, artists-sportsmen, artists-spooky housewives, artists-chimps with broken legs and artists-artists, but as far as I'm concerned, it's all that I can do...
